Stewart Meadows Golf Club

Stewart Meadows opened in 2015 as Medford's first new public golf course in decades, built on land along Bear Creek that the city had long reserved for open space and recreation. The design reflects that civic intent — a walking-friendly layout that functions as a genuine community park as much as a golf course, with paved paths, open sightlines, and a relaxed atmosphere that welcomes everyone from beginners to regulars looking for an after-work round.

The course plays through the Bear Creek Greenway corridor in the Rogue Valley, where the surrounding landscape is framed by the Siskiyou and Cascade ranges. Southern Oregon's dry, sunny climate means the course is playable well into autumn and often opens early in spring — a meaningful advantage in a region that sees far more blue sky than its northern neighbors in the Willamette Valley.

At par 70, Stewart Meadows leans shorter and more accessible than a full championship test, making it a natural entry point for newer players while still offering enough variety to keep experienced golfers engaged.
