Few courses anywhere in Europe carry the ambitions Bro Hof Slott set for itself when it opened in 2007 on the shores of Lake Mälaren, about 35 kilometres west of Stockholm. Developer and golf enthusiast Frederik Paulsen commissioned Robert Trent Jones Jr. to design a facility that could genuinely compete with the continent's finest, and the result — particularly the Stadium Course — is regularly ranked among the top 5 courses in continental Europe, a position it has held with remarkable consistency since its early years.

The Stadium Course was purpose-built for tournament play, and it has delivered: the European Tour's Nordic Open has visited here, exposing the layout to professional scrutiny it has handled with confidence. Jones Jr. shaped the land to expose dramatic water frontage along Mälaren, and the lake is not a passive backdrop — it is a genuine strategic threat on multiple holes, with wind off the water complicating club selection in ways no scorecard can warn you about.
