Maioris is a private golf club occupying the rolling countryside southeast of Palma, in a part of Mallorca that feels genuinely rural despite sitting within easy reach of the island's capital. Designed by José María Olazábal and opened in 2001, the course bears the fingerprints of a player who understood shot-making at the highest level — strategic bunkering, ground contours that reward a thinking approach, and greens that demand precise ball-flight. The layout winds through pine and almond trees across terrain that rises and falls naturally, giving holes a sense of separation and quiet that the island's busier resort courses rarely achieve.
Mallorca's climate — long dry summers, mild winters — makes Maioris a year-round proposition, though spring and autumn bring the island's most agreeable conditions. The surrounding Migjorn region retains a distinctly Mallorcan character, far from the tourist corridor of the southwest.
As a private members' club, Maioris carries a selective atmosphere and is not freely accessible to visiting play, making access something worth confirming well in advance of any trip.
