Paris Golf & Country Club

Paris, Texas sits in the northeastern corner of the state, where the rolling post-oak woodlands and red-clay soil of the Piney Woods transition toward the blackland prairie — a landscape that gives courses here a character distinct from the flat, sun-baked layouts most people picture when they think of Texas golf. The region gets genuine seasons, including enough rainfall to keep things green through much of the year, and the mature trees that tend to define courses in this part of the state create a very different atmosphere from the wide-open designs common farther west.
