포천GC

Pocheon is one of the more rugged corners of Gyeonggi Province, a landscape of granite ridges, dense pine forest, and river valleys that push north toward the Gwangju Mountain range. The terrain here is genuinely hilly — not the manicured flatness you find closer to Seoul — and courses built in this part of Gyeonggi tend to work with the land rather than against it, meaning elevation changes, blind approaches, and fairways that demand local knowledge to score well.

포천GC (Pocheon Golf Club) sits within that tradition. Gyeonggi's northern corridor has developed into a serious golf belt over the past 2 decades, drawing players out of the capital on weekends who want something more dramatic than the crowded resort layouts to the south. Courses in this zone routinely feature aggressive bunkering and tight tree-lined corridors shaped by the natural topography.

Pocheon itself is best known outside golf for its volcanic rock formations, the Sanjeong Lake resort area, and its clean mountain air — qualities that carry over into a round here, where the scenery does as much work as the course design.
