Golfbaan het Woold

Few corners of the Netherlands offer a more quietly satisfying round than the Achterhoek, the rural eastern region of Gelderland where Heusden sits close to the German border. The landscape here is genuinely distinct from the flat, reclaimed-polder image most outsiders carry of Dutch golf — rolling wooded terrain, sandy soils, and a patchwork of farmland and forest that lends itself naturally to the game.
