Few resort courses in Atlantic Canada generate the kind of word-of-mouth that Glasgow Hills does. Designed by Les Furber and opened in 1999, the course was carved through the rolling drumlin landscape of Prince Edward Island's central interior — a departure from the island's better-known coastal layouts — and quickly established itself as one of the province's top destination tracks. Furber leaned into the natural contours of the land, creating a routing where elevation changes, exposed ridgelines, and sweeping rural views do as much work as the bunkering and shaping.
PEI is not a place golfers usually associate with dramatic terrain, but Glasgow Hills upends that expectation. The property sits above the pastoral farmland surrounding New Glasgow, a quiet community along the Hunter River, and the elevated positions throughout the round deliver panoramas that stretch well beyond the course itself.
The resort setting — with lodging on-site — makes it a natural anchor for a multi-day golf trip on an island that punches well above its weight for course quality per square kilometre.
