Few golf clubs carry quite the historical weight of Cancha de Golf Colorado, set in the sprawling agricultural flatlands of Buenos Aires Province. The club traces its roots to the British railway communities that shaped so much of Argentina's early golf culture — the estaciones and empalmes (junctions) of the interior were natural gathering points for expatriate workers who brought the game with them in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and clubs like this one grew organically from that tradition. Fatima, situated northwest of the capital near Pilar, sits in a corridor of country clubs and sporting estates that developed significantly through the latter half of the 20th century.
