Few golf settings in England carry the weight of history that greets you at Hampton Court Palace. The course occupies the Home Park — the private parkland that stretches behind one of the Tudor monarchy's most celebrated royal residences, a palace begun by Cardinal Wolsey in the 1510s and seized by Henry VIII, who transformed it into the grandest court in Europe.
