Fort Knox is one of the most storied military installations in the United States, home to the Army's Human Resources Command and, famously, the gold bullion depository that has captured the public imagination for generations. Lindsey Golf Course is a military installation course, which puts it in a category of American golf that often goes unnoticed by the civilian golfing public. These courses were built to serve the recreational needs of service members, their families, and Department of Defense civilians, and they tend to offer serious, full-length golf at rates that reflect that mission rather than the commercial market.
Kentucky golf benefits from a genuine four-season climate, with the game playable from early spring through late fall. Summers run warm and humid, the rough grows thick, and the hardwoods lining the fairways typically offer a brilliant canopy by October.
