Few clubs in Argentine golf carry the historical weight of Club Atlético Lomas. Founded in the late 19th century by British immigrant communities in the greater Buenos Aires area, Lomas is among the oldest golf institutions in South America — part of a wave of clubs established when English and Scottish expatriates transplanted the game to the Pampas in the 1890s and early 1900s.
