Few courses in the Texas Hill Country carry a name as fitting as The Bandit. New Braunfels sits at the edge of the Edwards Plateau, where the limestone-laced terrain rolls and drops unpredictably — the kind of land that rewards boldness and punishes the careless. That character runs straight through to the golf here, where elevation changes, native brush, and the region's distinctive cedar and live oak shape a course that feels genuinely rooted in its surroundings.
New Braunfels itself is one of the more interesting towns in Central Texas — a German Hill Country settlement with a strong local identity, wedged between San Antonio and Austin along the Guadalupe River corridor.
