Falster Golfklub sits on the island of Falster in southern Denmark, one of the country's quieter, flatter islands connected to the mainland and to neighboring Lolland by bridge. The club is based outside Eskilstrup, a small agricultural community in the island's interior, which gives the course a distinctly rural, unhurried character — the kind of place where the game feels genuinely local rather than performative. Falster itself is known more for its beaches along the Baltic-facing east coast than for golf tourism, which means the club operates primarily as a community facility serving islanders and regional visitors.
The landscape here is typical of southern Danish lowland: open farmland punctuated by woodlands, with the flat topography that defines much of Lolland-Falster. Course designers working in this terrain rely on mature tree lines, water features, and strategic bunkering to create definition and interest rather than dramatic elevation change.
For visiting golfers, Falster offers a genuine slice of everyday Danish golf culture — well-maintained, sociable, and refreshingly unpretentious, a good complement to any broader tour of the region.
