The Asian Institute of Technology occupies a sprawling campus about 40 kilometers north of Bangkok, in the flat, agricultural lowlands of Pathum Thani province. The course here serves the AIT community — faculty, staff, students, and affiliated guests — and carries the relaxed, collegial character you'd expect from a university layout. It isn't a destination track in the resort sense, but it offers a genuine and accessible round in a setting that's refreshingly removed from the chaos of the Thai capital.
Pathum Thani sits in the heart of the Chao Phraya basin, and the surrounding terrain is as level as a billiard table — classic central Thai lowlands, with water features, palms, and tropical vegetation doing most of the visual and strategic work. Conditions here are shaped by the region's pronounced wet and dry seasons, and like most courses in the Bangkok orbit, the layout leans heavily on canals and ponds as its primary defenses.
For visiting academics or anyone connected to the institute, it's a convenient and unpretentious place to play. Expect a social, community-focused atmosphere rather than tournament polish — the kind of course where the conversation after the round matters as much as the scorecard.
