Laredo sits on the Rio Grande at one of the busiest land-border crossings in the United States, a city shaped as much by its Mexican sister city of Nuevo Laredo as by Texas itself. Casa Blanca Golf Course takes its name from Lake Casa Blanca, the city-owned reservoir and state park that anchors Laredo's east side and serves as the community's primary outdoor recreation hub. As a municipal facility, it functions as the everyday home course for Laredo's golfers — the place where local players build their games, juniors are introduced to the sport, and weekend regulars settle into familiar routines.
