Romeleåsens golfklubb sits on the slopes of Romeleåsen, the long ridge that forms the backbone of Skåne's inland landscape — a genuinely hilly, forested terrain that sets it apart from the flat, wind-battered coastal links courses that dominate Sweden's southernmost province. The ridge offers elevation changes rare for this part of the country, and the course uses that topography to full effect, routing holes through beech and oak woodland where the terrain, rather than artificial shaping, dictates the challenge.
Veberöd is a small community roughly midway between Malmö and the university city of Lund, both easily reachable in under half an hour, which gives the club a solid membership base from southern Skåne's dense population. The surrounding Romeleåsen nature area is a genuine countryside escape from the urban sprawl of the Öresund region.
As a members' club drawing from an educated, golf-literate local population, the course carries the quiet seriousness typical of established Swedish inland clubs — well-maintained, unhurried, and rewarding to those who learn to read its wooded slopes.
