Ron Garl designed The Club at Eaglebrooke, and his fingerprints are all over this layout — a routing that works with the natural contours of central Florida's rolling terrain rather than fighting them. Garl is one of the most prolific architects in Florida history, and Eaglebrooke stands as one of his more celebrated efforts, earning consistent recognition as among the better private-access courses in the Polk County area. The course weaves through a residential community southeast of downtown Lakeland, with wetlands, mature oaks, and elevation changes that are genuinely surprising for this part of the state.
Lakeland sits squarely in the heart of central Florida, far enough from the coasts to feel distinctly inland — a working city with a serious local golf culture and a long history as a spring training hub. The surrounding landscape is lake-dotted and piney, and Eaglebrooke captures that character well.
The club operates as a semi-private facility, offering public access alongside its membership base. Expect a layout that rewards course management and local knowledge, with water and wetland hazards keeping approach play honest throughout the round.
