Broomehill Golf Course

Broomehill is a small wheat-belt town sitting roughly 300 kilometres southeast of Perth, in the kind of open, dry country where golf courses tend to grow organically from community effort rather than architectural ambition. The course here is a true country layout — almost certainly a 9-hole track maintained by local volunteers, played on sand or oiled browns rather than grass greens, and shaped by the flat to gently undulating terrain typical of this part of the Great Southern region. Out here, the land is wide and the horizon feels impossibly distant, with wandoo and salmon gum country giving way to vast cropping paddocks.

Rural Western Australian golf has its own character entirely.
