Golf at altitude in the Bieszczady foothills feels like a different proposition than almost anywhere else in Poland. Arłamów sits within a sprawling government resort and spa complex in the far southeastern corner of the country, a region of dense beech and fir forests, rolling ridges, and a quietness that still surprises visitors who make the journey out here. The setting is genuinely remote — this is border country where Poland meets Ukraine and Slovakia — and that geography shapes everything about the experience: the air, the light, the sense of occasion.
The Arłamów resort has long carried a certain prestige, having served as a state retreat during the communist era before reinventing itself as one of Poland's more ambitious luxury destinations. A full 18-hole course fits the scale of its surroundings, where forest clearings and natural elevation changes do much of the design work simply by existing.
For visiting golfers, the draw is as much the landscape as the round itself. Southeastern Poland is underplayed golf territory, and Arłamów offers a rare chance to play somewhere that feels genuinely far from the tourist circuit.
