Gort Golf Club

Few towns in the west of Ireland carry as much literary weight as Gort. W.B. Yeats spent formative years in this part of south County Galway, and the landscape around it — limestone karst, ancient field walls, the brooding flatness giving way to the Burren on the horizon — has a character unlike anywhere else in the country.
