Camprodon sits in the Pyrenean foothills of Girona province, where the Ter and Ritort rivers meet in a valley that has drawn visitors — walkers, skiers, and summer escapees from Barcelona — for well over a century. The medieval town is one of the prettiest in Catalonia, and the golf course shares in that setting: the Pyrenees frame every hole, and the air at this elevation carries a sharpness that reminds you you're well above the coastal heat.
Club de Golf Camprodon is one of those compact mountain layouts where terrain does the work that length cannot. The valley floor and its surrounding slopes impose their own logic on the routing, demanding accurate iron play and an honest respect for the landscape. It is not a course designed to flatter; the elevation changes and natural contours keep scoring in check without a single forced carry needing to do so.
For golfers based in Barcelona or passing through on the Ruta del Ter, Camprodon offers something the region's coastal and resort tracks cannot — mountain golf with genuine character, far removed from the crowded Costa Brava circuit.
