Les Gets is a ski village in the Portes du Soleil — one of the largest linked ski domains in the Alps — and its golf course inhabits that same dramatic mountain terrain when the snow melts. Sitting at elevation in the Haute-Savoie, the course plays through alpine meadows with the kind of views across the Morzine valley and surrounding peaks that make it genuinely difficult to keep your eyes on the ball. The air is cool and clean even in midsummer, and the fairways tend to run firm underfoot, rewarding ground-game thinking over aerial heroics.
Mountain golf of this type demands adaptation. Uphill lies, downhill stances, and the deceptive way thin air affects ball flight are all part of the experience here, and the terrain shapes every shot in ways a flatland course simply cannot replicate.
Les Gets draws a seasonal crowd — largely summer visitors who trade ski passes for green fees — giving it the relaxed, holiday atmosphere of a resort village that genuinely knows how to entertain guests across every season.
