Royal Wellington Golf Club

Few clubs in New Zealand carry the weight of history that Royal Wellington does. Founded in 1895, it holds the distinction of being one of the oldest golf clubs in the country and earned its royal designation — a rare honor in New Zealand golf — reflecting its longstanding status within the national game. The course occupies the Heretaunga Plains in Upper Hutt, framed by the Tararua Range to the north and east, giving rounds here a sense of scale and exposure that purely urban courses rarely achieve.
