Golf Engadin St.Moritz - Course Zuoz-Madulain

Few golf settings in Europe rival the visual drama of the Upper Engadin valley, and the Zuoz-Madulain course — one of two layouts operated by Golf Engadin St. Moritz — offers a genuine alternative to the club's more celebrated main course near the lake. Sitting at roughly 1,700 metres above sea level in the canton of Grisons, the course winds through the valley floor between the medieval village of Zuoz and the smaller hamlet of Madulain, framed by the Albula Alps. The elevation alone changes everything: the air is thin, the light is extraordinary, and the ball flies noticeably farther than at sea level.

Zuoz itself is one of the best-preserved Engadine villages in Switzerland, its sgraffito-decorated facades and central square giving the surrounding landscape a cultural weight that most golf settings simply cannot claim. The valley's short alpine summer means a compressed season, but conditions during June through September tend to be crisp and clear.
