Wildhorse Resort Golf Club sits on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation just outside Pendleton, a high-desert city in northeastern Oregon that most travelers know for its famous Pendleton Round-Up rodeo and the iconic Pendleton Woolen Mills. The course is part of the Wildhorse Resort and Casino complex, making it one of the more distinctive golf destinations in the Pacific Northwest — a tribally owned operation that brings genuine regional identity to every round.
The landscape here is classic eastern Oregon: open, rolling terrain beneath wide skies, with the Blue Mountains visible on the horizon and a dry, semi-arid climate that means firm, fast conditions for much of the season. Winds off the plateau are a constant factor and can turn a manageable scorecard into a genuine test without changing a single yardage.
For golfers road-tripping across Oregon or stopping along Interstate 84, Wildhorse offers a full 18-hole experience attached to resort amenities — a rare combination in this part of the state, where quality public-access golf can be hard to come by.
