Poulton-le-Fylde sits just a few miles inland from the Fylde Coast, the stretch of Lancashire that produced Blackpool's famous tower and, more quietly, some of the north of England's most character-rich golf. While the big links names — Royal Lytham, Royal Birkdale — command the coastline nearby, the Fylde has always supported a healthy community of inland clubs where the game is played with less ceremony and just as much passion.
