Spring Green sits in the heart of Wisconsin's Driftless Area, a region the glaciers bypassed entirely, leaving behind a rumpled, dramatic landscape of coulees, bluffs, and the broad Wisconsin River valley. It's also the home territory of Frank Lloyd Wright, who built Taliesin just a few miles away and whose influence on the idea that architecture should grow from its landscape rather than impose upon it feels almost built into the local soil.
