Few golf settings in New England carry quite the atmospheric weight of Dublin, New Hampshire. Perched in the Monadnock region of the southern highlands, the town sits at one of the highest elevations of any community in the state, with sweeping views of Mount Monadnock dominating the western horizon. The lake that gives the club its name reflects that mountain on calm mornings, and the surrounding hardwood forests cycle through some of the most dramatic fall foliage in the northeast — often a full week ahead of the valleys below.
Dublin Lake Club is a private members' club with deep roots in what was historically a summer colony for Boston's literary and intellectual elite — Emerson, Twain, and later generations of New England old money all had ties to this corner of Cheshire County.
