Few golf experiences on Mallorca carry quite the same sense of occasion as Pula Golf. Designed by José María Olazábal and opened in 1995, the course was built on the grounds of the historic Castell de Pula estate in the municipality of Son Servera, on the island's northeastern coast. Olazábal shaped a layout that rewards thoughtful, precise play over raw power — fairways that thread through mature Mediterranean pines and carob trees, with elevation changes that frame distant views toward the Serra de Llevant mountains and, on clear days, the Balearic Sea.
The course developed a strong competitive reputation early, serving as a regular host of the Spanish PGA Tour and drawing professionals who respected its technical demands. The conditioning here has historically been held to a high standard for the island, reflecting the prestige of the Castell estate that anchors the property.
Son Servera sits on Mallorca's quieter, more rural eastern flank, a world away from the overdeveloped southern resorts. The surrounding landscape is genuinely beautiful — dry stone walls, almond groves, and pine-clad hills — and Pula channels that character directly into the round.
