Few golf settings in Catalonia carry quite the drama of El Brull. The Club de Golf Osona — Muntanyà occupies the foothills of the Montseny massif, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, where the course unfolds across rugged, cork-oak-studded terrain at genuine elevation. This is not the manicured resort golf of the Costa Brava coast — it is something rawer and more demanding, shaped by a landscape that belonged to shepherds and medieval villages long before anyone swung a club here.
The course serves the Osona comarca, a rural interior region centered on Vic, a city of notable Romanesque heritage roughly 50 kilometers north of Barcelona. The Montseny foothills bring genuine changes in gradient, and players routinely contend with sloping lies, variable mountain winds, and panoramic views toward the Pyrenees that can distract even the most focused card-markers.
As one of relatively few inland clubs in this part of Catalonia, Osona-Muntanyà carries a members' culture that feels rooted in the local community rather than the tourist circuit — a place where the region's identity comes through in every hole.
