Nutters Crossing has been one of the Eastern Shore's most reliable public venues since opening in the early 1990s, designed by Ed Ault's firm — one of the Mid-Atlantic's most prolific golf architecture practices. The layout plays through a classic Maryland coastal plain landscape: flat to gently rolling terrain, water in the form of ponds and natural drainage features threading through multiple holes, and the kind of mature tree lines that give the course definition without overwhelming it. Salisbury sits at the heart of the Delmarva Peninsula, roughly equidistant between the Atlantic beaches and the Chesapeake Bay.
