Few courses in British Columbia situate you quite so dramatically in the Columbia Valley as Copper Point. Set along the shores of Lake Windermere in the Rocky Mountain Trench — that long, flat corridor carved between the Rockies and the Purcell Mountains — the course delivers mountain panoramas that rival anything in the Canadian west. The surrounding peaks, many snowcapped well into summer, form a backdrop that makes it genuinely difficult to keep your eyes on the ball.
Windermere is a small resort community that draws visitors for its warm lake summers and access to Panorama Mountain and the wider Invermere area. Copper Point fits naturally into that landscape as a destination layout with aspirations beyond the purely local, offering conditions and scenery that punch above the weight of the region's size.
The par-71 layout plays with character rather than brute length, rewarding course management and precision in a setting where distraction — beautiful, constant distraction — is effectively the course's most consistent hazard.
