Llyndinshire Golf and Country Club occupies a corner of Lanark County that most golfers outside Ontario will never stumble across — and that's rather the point. Arva sits in the rural stretch north of London, Ontario, where the land rolls gently through mixed hardwood forest and open farmland, and the club carries the quiet, self-contained character that serious members' clubs in this part of the province tend to cultivate deliberately. The name itself, reaching back to Welsh for "lake district" or similar lyrical roots, hints at an identity built on something more than convenience golf.
A par 70 signals a layout with design intent behind it — shorter par 4s that demand precision rather than power, or perhaps a pair of par 3s that punch well above their weight. Either way, the scoring target tells you this course rewards shot-making over raw distance and punishes lazy approaches.
Private clubs in southwestern Ontario have a particular texture: multigenerational memberships, unhurried pace, and the kind of course conditioning that comes from a community genuinely invested in the place. Llyndinshire appears to fit that mold.
