Golf Sant Marc–Club de Golf Puigcerdà

Few golf settings in the Pyrenees carry the history of Puigcerdà's course, which traces its roots to the early 20th century — making it one of the oldest clubs in Spain. The club drew its founding energy from the wealthy Catalan and European families who summered in Puigcerdà, a town perched at roughly 1,200 meters in the Cerdanya valley, just a few kilometers from the French border. That social and aristocratic heritage still flavors the atmosphere, even as the club has evolved over the decades.

The Cerdanya is a broad, sun-drenched high-altitude valley — unusually flat by Pyrenean standards — and the course reflects its surroundings: open fairways framed by the saw-toothed ridgeline of the Serra del Cadí to the south, with a mountain light that can make afternoon rounds feel almost cinematic. Summers here are reliably cool, which is precisely why Barcelonans and Toulousains have been retreating to this corner of the Pyrenees for generations.
