Lexton is a small rural township in central Victoria, sitting in the quiet country between Ballarat and Avoca in the heart of the Pyrenees region. It's goldfields country — the landscape shaped by a 19th-century rush that left behind scattered remnants of that era amid open paddocks, eucalyptus stands, and the gently undulating terrain typical of this part of the Victorian interior.
