Condamine sits in the heart of Queensland's Darling Downs and Maranoa country, a stretch of western Queensland defined by black soil plains, vast pastoral runs, and the kind of wide, uninterrupted sky that makes you feel genuinely far from anywhere. The town itself is a small agricultural community on the Condamine River, and the golf club here is very much a product of that outback spirit — a place built and sustained by the local community, where the game is played for the love of it rather than for any pretense.
Like most rural Queensland clubs, Condamine almost certainly plays on a mix of natural turf and the prepared surfaces that make golf viable through the punishing summer heat of the inland. Course conditions and character shift with the seasons out here, and a round in the cooler months can be a genuinely pleasurable experience under that enormous western sky.
