Emirates Golf Club stands as one of the most historically significant courses in the Middle East — host of the Dubai Desert Classic since the tournament's inaugural edition in 1989, making it the first grass course ever built in the region. The club's 2 layouts, the Majlis and the Faldo, have welcomed some of the world's greatest players, with Seve Ballesteros, Ernie Els, and Tiger Woods among those who have competed on its fairways. The Majlis course, designed by Karl Litten and opened in 1988, is the tournament track: a demanding, tree-lined layout whose most recognizable feature is its cluster of Bedouin tent-shaped clubhouse structures rising dramatically from the desert floor.

The course occupies a remarkable position in the Dubai Marina district, surrounded today by some of the city's most striking skyline — skyscrapers framing tee shots in a way that feels utterly unique to this corner of the Gulf.
