Squamish Valley Golf Club sits in one of British Columbia's most dramatically framed valleys, with the Coast Mountains rising sharply on all sides and the Squamish River corridor shaping the land beneath your feet. The course plays through a flat river-bottom setting typical of the valley floor, where mature trees line the fairways and the surrounding peaks — including the iconic Stawamus Chief — create a backdrop that few layouts anywhere in Canada can match. It's a genuinely scenic place to play golf, and the mountain air and occasional wind funneling down the valley add a natural unpredictability to scoring.
Squamish itself sits roughly an hour north of Vancouver along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, a corridor that has transformed the town into one of BC's most active outdoor recreation hubs. Golfers often pair a round here with the broader Sea-to-Sky experience, and the club draws a mix of locals and visitors passing through toward Whistler.
As a semi-public community course, Squamish Valley offers accessible, unhurried golf — the kind of round where the scenery does as much work as the design, and where the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming rather than formal.
