Golfbaan Delfland

Golfbaan Delfland sits in the flatlands between Delft and the Hook of Holland, in one of the most historically layered corners of the Netherlands. Schipluiden is a small polder village, and the course occupies the kind of reclaimed agricultural land that defines this part of South Holland — open skies, drainage ditches cutting through the turf, and a prevailing westerly wind off the North Sea that turns even modest distances into a genuine test of ball-flight management.

The course plays across classic Dutch lowland terrain: wide, exposed fairways framed by water features and reed-lined ditches rather than trees, demanding accuracy off the tee and a thoughtful approach to course management. This is not a parkland experience where mature woodland shelters your misses — out here, the wind is the architect's most reliable accomplice.

The surrounding Midden-Delfland area is deliberately preserved as open green space, one of the Netherlands' protected "green heart" landscapes wedged between major urban centers. That setting gives Delfland an unhurried, countryside character that feels genuinely removed from the nearby density of Delft, Rotterdam, and The Hague.
