Few courses in northern England situate themselves quite so definitively within the landscape as Bellingham Golf Club, set in the heart of the North Tyne Valley in Northumberland. This is Border country — open, windswept upland with the River North Tyne cutting through a broad valley floor, the kind of terrain that has shaped the character of moorland golf in this part of England for well over a century.
