Golf de Léry-Poses

Few golf courses in northern France occupy such a distinctive setting as Golf de Léry-Poses, built on the shores of the Lac des Deux Amants — the large recreational lake that forms the centerpiece of the Base de Loisirs de Léry-Poses, a regional outdoor park straddling the Seine and Eure rivers. Water is not just a backdrop here but a constant companion throughout the round, with lake views and riverside corridors shaping the course's character far more than any manufactured hazard could.

The course sits within the Seine loop between Rouen and the Vexin Normand, an area of broad floodplain meadows, poplars, and the kind of flat, open Norman landscape that gives the sky an outsized presence. Wind off the water regularly becomes the fifth element of the round, stretching even modest distances into genuine tests.

Val-de-Reuil itself is a planned new town developed in the 1970s, and the golf course grew from the same vision of public leisure infrastructure. It functions as an accessible, community-oriented venue — a serious enough layout to reward good ball-striking, but unpretentious in spirit and welcoming to golfers at every level.
