Few courses in the Philadelphia region carry as much architectural prestige as Jericho National. Designed by Rees Jones and opened in 2000, the course was built on rolling Bucks County farmland and quickly earned a reputation as one of Pennsylvania's better modern layouts. Jones, often called "The Open Doctor" for his major-championship renovations, brought his characteristic emphasis on strategic shot-making and dramatic contoured greens to the property — demanding players think their way around the course rather than simply muscle it.
Washington Crossing itself lends the setting real historical weight. This is the stretch of the Delaware River where George Washington crossed on Christmas night 1776, and the countryside still feels unhurried and genuinely American in a way that few suburban golf corridors do. Bucks County's gently rolling terrain, open meadows, and hardwood tree lines give the course a clean, parkland character that shifts beautifully through the seasons.
Jericho National operates as a private club, and its members enjoy a layout that rewards repeat play — the nuances of Jones's green complexes and the subtle strategic choices off the tee reveal themselves gradually over many rounds.
