Jiva Hill Golf Club sits on the rolling farmland of the Pays de Gex, a sliver of French territory wedged between the Jura mountains and the Swiss border — one of the more quietly sophisticated corners of rural France. The course is part of the Jiva Hill Resort, a luxury property that has built a reputation as a refined escape for the Geneva crowd, just a short drive from the Swiss city across the border. The setting delivers a sense of Alpine approach without climbing into the mountains themselves: open meadows, mature trees, and long views toward the Jura ridgeline frame virtually every hole.
The course plays as a genuine resort layout in the best sense — thoughtful enough to reward experienced players while remaining accessible to guests of mixed ability. The surrounding landscape does a great deal of the work, lending the round an unhurried, pastoral quality that feels distinctly French in character.
Crozet itself is a small village largely defined by its proximity to Geneva's international community, and that cross-border sophistication colors the resort's atmosphere. Guests tend to arrive expecting something polished, and the golf, set against that backdrop of Jura scenery, generally delivers.
