Few golf settings in Alberta announce themselves quite like this one. Drumheller sits at the heart of the Canadian Badlands, where the Red Deer River has carved a dramatic landscape of hoodoos, coulees, and exposed sedimentary rock over millions of years — the same geological story that made this valley one of the world's great dinosaur fossil sites. Playing golf here means moving through terrain that feels nothing like the manicured parkland corridors most Alberta courses occupy. The badlands topography is the course's defining character.
Dinosaur Trail itself takes its name from the scenic highway loop that winds through the valley above town, past the Royal Tyrrell Museum and its world-class paleontology collections.
