Few golf settings in the Alps match the drama of Lenzerheide. This Swiss mountain resort sits at roughly 1,500 meters elevation in the Albula Alps of Graubünden canton, surrounded by the kind of scenery — granite peaks, pine forests, and a glacial lake — that makes it genuinely hard to focus on your scorecard. The course occupies terrain that golf architects rarely get to work with, and the altitude means the ball flies noticeably farther than it would at sea level, which flattens the ego-sting of a par 69.
Graubünden is Switzerland's largest and arguably most beautiful canton, trilingual and fiercely independent, and Lenzerheide itself is a year-round resort that draws skiers in winter and hikers, cyclists, and golfers in summer. The season is short at this elevation — typically June through October — which gives the whole experience a fleeting, make-the-most-of-it quality that mountain golf tends to produce.
The par 69 layout signals a course shaped by the land rather than imposed upon it. Expect genuine elevation changes, tight mountain corridors, and holes where course management matters far more than raw distance.
