Few mountain golf destinations carry the reputation of The Club at 3 Creek, a private club in Jackson Hole that consistently ranks among the finest courses in Wyoming and earns regular recognition on national top-100 lists. Designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 1999, it plays through a glacially carved valley at the foot of the Teton Range, where the terrain does much of the storytelling. The course takes its name from the 3 creeks — Fish, Flat, and Cache — that wind through the property and come into play on nearly every hole.
Fazio's routing makes the most of dramatic elevation changes, meadow corridors, and dense stands of aspen and pine. The result is a course that feels both rugged and refined, demanding precise shot-making without ever feeling manufactured. The mountain setting compresses the playing season into the warmer months, which only deepens the sense that a round here is something earned.
Jackson itself is one of the American West's most storied gateway towns, sitting at the edge of Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. The golf, like everything here, is framed by a landscape that tends to make people feel small in the best possible way.
