Bang Lamung sits at the heart of Thailand's eastern seaboard golf corridor — the district that essentially absorbed Pattaya's explosive growth and became one of Southeast Asia's most densely packed golfing destinations. Chon Buri province draws players from Bangkok (roughly 90 minutes up the motorway), expat communities, and resort tourists who treat the region as a self-contained golf holiday without ever needing a flight.
Chee Chan Golf Resort — romanized from ชีจรรย์ — is one of the more recognized layouts in the Pattaya orbit, built across hilly terrain that gives it an elevation change unusual for coastal Thailand. The course winds through rubber and eucalyptus plantations with views toward the Gulf of Thailand on clear days, and the changes in grade create genuinely varied lies and demanding approach angles that keep even experienced players honest. It plays longer and harder than many regional resort tracks.
The surrounding area offers the full Pattaya-zone infrastructure: abundant accommodation, competitive green fees relative to Bangkok, and year-round playability, with the coolest and driest window running roughly November through February.
