Seven Bridges Golf Club sits in Woodridge, a southwest suburb of Chicago set amid the forest preserves and winding waterways of DuPage County. The course takes its name from the bridges that carry golfers across the creek systems threaded throughout the property — water is not an occasional obstacle here but a recurring theme that shapes how nearly every hole asks to be played.
The design comes from Dick Nugent, one of the Chicago area's most respected architects, whose portfolio across the region earned him a reputation for building courses that work with natural terrain rather than against it. At Seven Bridges, that means elevation changes and wooded corridors give the layout a more dramatic feel than the flat suburban surroundings might suggest. The par 72 plays to a genuine championship length and carries a slope that reflects real difficulty.
DuPage County has quietly built one of the stronger public golf scenes in the Midwest, and Seven Bridges has long been considered one of its best daily-fee options — a course that rewards multiple visits as players learn how to manage the water and work the angles.
