Fenton Farms Golf Club sits in Fenton, a small city in Genesee County positioned roughly midway between Flint and Ann Arbor along the I-23 corridor. This part of lower Michigan is classic glacial lake country — the terrain shaped by ice-age retreats that left behind rolling moraines, scattered hardwood forests, and dozens of kettle lakes. That kind of landscape tends to produce golf courses with natural elevation change and scenic variety, where the land does much of the architectural work without needing to be forced into something it isn't.
As a semi-public or daily-fee club in this part of the state, Fenton Farms likely draws a loyal local following from Genesee and Livingston counties, as well as golfers passing through who want a full 18-hole round without the resort price tag. The surrounding hardwoods turning in October make for some of the most atmospheric golf the Midwest has to offer.
