Few clubs in the Stockholm region carry quite the institutional weight of Sollentuna GK. Founded in 1932, it ranks among Sweden's older established clubs and sits in Sollentuna municipality, just north of the capital along the E4 corridor — close enough to the city to draw a committed membership, far enough to occupy genuine countryside. The course occupies a landscape typical of the Uppland fringe: pine and birch forest, exposed granite outcrops, and the slightly rolling terrain that characterizes this part of the Stockholm archipelago's inland edge.
The design works with the natural topography rather than against it, and the tree-lined corridors demand shape and positioning off the tee. Accuracy matters here more than raw power, which gives the course a character that rewards repeat play and local knowledge over brute force.
Sollentuna is a proper members' club with roots in Swedish golf's formative decades, and that history is palpable. The club has produced competitive players over the years and maintains a serious competitive calendar — this is not a casual venue, but a course that takes the game as seriously as its members do.
